Farm Weekend!

Drama on Hull Street

I know I haven't been blogging much lately, but I have been busy at work!
Which we all know is SO EXCITING for me. I hope it lasts.
Anyways, I do have some news to share. I was awoken on Saturday night
to some beating on my door and then the doorbell a couple of times.
Of course, I got scared to death. I sat frozen in bed for about
thirty seconds before I ran to the front window to look outside.
Whoever was at the door was gone, but all I could see out the window was
people running through the streets and fire trucks everywhere.
I threw on a robe (oh yes, I was the neighbor outside in just a robe)
and ran outside with my camera over my shoulder.
There was six huge fire trucks and several other just fire cars (I guess you
would call them)
Firemen everywhere. Three doors down there was a house engulfed in flames.
I am assuming it was the firemen running ringing doorbells because
the house next to it did also catch on fire- although it seemed to
already be abandoned. (Remember where I live.) I have never
seen anything like this. The ladders were up in the air on some of the trucks
with the hoses spraying down on the home.
I am dying to know what caused the fire.

Just in case you were wondering- the house on the other side of
it with the awesome signs seems to just have some roof melting.
The sign that you can see on the porch but can't read
says something to the effect of her being one of God's angels
and if you rob her she will take you to heaven.....
I had the pleasure of meeting her in the streets Saturday
night.

Randomnesss

I work in Real Estate Development.
As you know, I moved from a very similar job in Atlanta to Montgomery.
The day I was shown my new office I got so excited. I have a brick wall!!!!!
It just fits my personality.
This building was an old warehouse that my company
converted into offices- obviously before I started.
So, the brick wall is very old.
Look, Isn't it cool?
I thought so too. Until the bricks started crumbling on me.
Oh yes, they crumble and they would fall in my hair.
So, I think it only took 2 days before I moved my office around.
Now, they still crumble but not on top of me.
But look at my floor!!!

I still love my brick wall, but it does scare the crap out of me when
it crumbles. I think I jump every time.
Wasn't there a book about that?
Chicken Little or something. The sky is falling?
Maybe I made that up!?!? Who knows.
Maybe it will give me something to google later.

I will say the best thing about this window is.....
it overlooks the outside tables at Dreamland BBQ.
I can't wait till its spring and warm and people start eating outside.

I will do some major spying.
Don't worry, I will fill you in on it.

Another idiosyncrasy.
I think I would make an AWESOME detective.
I really do!

It is in my blood and all.
My grandad was a private investigator for the FBI.

New York New York!

I know this post is much over due!
However, since I broke my little camera,
I have been waiting on pictures from everyone else.
I first have to say that the one thing that annoys me about this blog,
is that you have to upload the pictures in reverse order. The first picture
I uploaded is the last picture on this post and once they are
uploaded I can not move them around.
So bear with me!
We had a GREAT time! It was so much fun and our trip will
now be an ongoing adventure. We actually already have another trip
planned in April- even if it is just to Atlanta.
We mainly shopped, ate, drank and made many inside jokes.

The Tory Burch Store where we spent several hours!

Dancing at bars with NYU students.

Riding the wrong subway twice and of course
Katherine taking pictures with the singing homeless.

Today Show

TAO

Of course we would pick a cab that would be pulled over while
we were inside.

We went to see a very interesting show called
Fuerza Bruta. We still aren't sure what was going on.
All I know is that in the end we danced in the rain inside of
this show. Thank goodness for coat checks
because we headed back to our hotel with our clothes in our purses
and just our dry coats on!

It is very interesting show.

You stand the whole time and the audience is part of the show.

Even though it was a bunch of Auburn girls
we still gave a shout out to Alabama. Found in the
Tory Burch Store.

We bought ourselves a couple of prizes.

Even shopped in the rain. This is by the door of the
Anthropologie.

And of course we sang Sweet Home Alabama on stage.

And for the girls!
"Don't be looking at my spandex like that!"
"She doesn't even show up on film"
"I don't shop at discount stores, I just work at them."
"What, I can't pick up the bag?"
"Why is there honey dripping from my camera?"
